Ss find English equivalent for Russian words and open a picture “Picnic” T: There is a letter for you. Let open it. Find words and read a letter. Ss read the letter. T: Children, Emma, Ned, Jill, Becky and Sam, from Clifton invite us for a picnic. Let’s go to a picnic. II. Warm up
T: Children tell me please what are you going to wear, take for a picnic? And what are you going to eat? Fill the sentences with your answers. T: And now let’s go to the supermarket. Here’s the supermarket. Read the shopping list. Are there things on the shopping list? Click the red square and let’s play a flash game. Shopping list: egg peas bread milk potatoes fish sugar butter biscuits cheese Answers: Is there any fish on the shopping list? Yes, there is. Are there any potatoes on the shopping list? Ss look at the slides and name fruits and vegetables and colour new words with colouring pencils. T: Children, look at the table with words. We’re going to the market. Take your colouring pencils, they will help us. Name the fruits and vegetables. If you see new word colour it on your paper. Ss read the words. T: let’s read new words with me.
Ss say the words in English. T: Children, say name these words in English.
Ss read and find vegetables. Answers: potato/carrot/pumpkin/onion/pepper/cucumber/peas/tomato. Ss read and find fruits. Answers: plum/watermelon/orange/strawberry/grapefruit/apricot/apple/pineapple. Ss look through the picture and find sentences with structure “Would you like some…?”; “I’d like…” T: Look at the sentences and find them on the picture and read. SS listen to the text twice and match questions and answers and number the sentences. T: Listen to the track again and put numbers on your pictures. Ss check their answers.
