       Theme:   Speaking. “Travelling”

      Aims and objectives:

        -    to get acquainted the Ss with new facts and information about the theme

          -   to develop the Ss speaking skills and creativity

          -   to form the culture of group work, to widen the Ss mental outlook and to 

              to enrich vocabulary

       Equipment:  interactive board, Ss presentations, video, worksheets.

      Type of the lesson: lesson of developing skills and abilities

 Plan.

I.   Preliminaries and Warm-up.

    1. Associations
    2. Discuss  the answers to the questions

II.   Presentation.

Watch a video about DREAM TRAVEL DESTINATIONS. Match a tourist place 

       with the activities people can do while travelling. First of all, put the names of   

       the countries in the correct order.     

III.   Practice.

Choose any picture on the board you like, give the name of the country and the 

place and try to say some interesting facts about it. Check the information 

      by clicking on  the picture.

IV.    Production. 

Watch the Ss presentations, take notes and answer the questions.

V.    Conclusion and home task.

Think of your favourite travel destination and tell about it.

Outline.

I.    Preliminaries and Warm-up.

1. The Ss in groups give their associations with the word “travelling”.

2. The Ss in groups answer the question How can people travel? and give reasons for travelling.

II.    Presentation.

The Ss watch a video about DREAM TRAVEL DESTINATIONS and in groups put the names of the countries in the correct order and match a tourist place with the activities people can do while travelling.

III.    Practice.

The Ss choose any  picture on the board they like, give the name of the country and the  place and try to say some interesting facts about it. Then check the information      by clicking on the picture.

IV.    Production. 

The Ss watch the 2Ss’ presentations and in groups take notes and answer the questions.

      What interesting (historical/cultural) places did they visit?

      What did they like best of all?/What didn’t they like?

      Do they have a dream? If yes, what is it?

      What was the reason of their travel?

V.    Conclusion and home task.

Think of your favourite travel destination and tell about it.
