Warm-up: - Today we have to demonstrate the usage of for /since in present perfect. - So, we’ll begin our lesson with describing the pictures. - You have to work in pairs answering the question “What have you done?” - You may choose one of the pictures. III. Presentation:
- As today we work with Present Perfect, let’s review the rules. - Present Perfect, what tense is it? And, what does it describe? - I give you an example of the sentence. Make it negative and as a question. I have read an interesting book. I haven’t read an interesting book. Have I read an interesting book? - Usually, Present Perfect is used with such prepositions as For or Since. - What is the difference between them? When do we use For/Since? 2. Put the following time expressions into the correct column. Students have their own worksheets. The task is checked on the active board. 3. Decide if you need for or since. Written task for the students, where they just write the preposition they need. 4.Puzzle. - Look at exercise 1, your task is to use for or since with the following time expressions. - Those who do it correctly you’ll see a picture. 5.Fill in the blanks with for or since. - Now, it will be very easy to you to do exercise 2. You have to fill in the blanks the prepositions for or since. - Write these prepositions in your sheets of paper. Just For or Since. 6.Open the brackets using the verb in Present Perfect with for or since - These exercises we used only preposition. The next exercise is a little different than the previous. Your task is to open the brackets using the verb in Present Perfect and with correct prepositions. 7.Song. - Can you imagine what happened to me yesterday? I found such a song for you.
